Refund and Returns Policy

This Refund Policy outlines the terms under which refunds may be issued for services purchased through chitrakproductions.com. Chitrak Productions is a service-based business; we do not sell physical products.

1. General Policy

Because video production involves significant upfront investment in crew, equipment, scheduling, and creative development, all payments are generally non-refundable once work has commenced. We encourage clients to review the project proposal carefully and raise any concerns before approving commencement.

2. Refund Eligibility

a) Before Work Begins

If you have made a payment but work has not yet commenced (no scripting, scheduling, or pre-production activity has started), you may request a full refund of the amount paid, minus any applicable payment gateway processing fees.

b) During Pre-Production

If cancellation occurs after pre-production has begun but before the production shoot date, a partial refund may be issued at our discretion, after deducting costs already incurred for scripting, storyboarding, location scouting, crew booking, and any non-recoverable third-party expenses.

c) During or After Production

Once filming has commenced, no refund will be issued, as significant resources (crew, equipment, location, travel) have already been deployed. The Client will be liable for all costs incurred.

d) Post-Production / Delivered Work

No refunds will be issued for completed and delivered work. If you are dissatisfied with the deliverables, we encourage you to use the revision rounds included in your plan or agreement to address your concerns.

3. Service Quality Concerns

If you believe the delivered work does not meet the specifications agreed upon in the project proposal, please contact us within 7 days of delivery. We will review the concern in good faith and, where the work demonstrably falls short of the agreed brief, we will either re-do the relevant portion at no additional cost or offer a partial credit toward future work, at our discretion.

4. Duplicate or Erroneous Payments

If you have been charged twice for the same service or an incorrect amount has been debited, please contact us immediately. We will verify the transaction and process a refund for the duplicate or excess amount within 7–10 business days.

5. How Refunds Are Processed

All eligible refunds are processed through Razorpay and credited back to the original payment method. The time taken for the refund to reflect in your account depends on your bank or payment provider and is typically 5–10 business days from the date we initiate the refund.

6. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please contact us with the following details:

  • Your name and contact information
  • Razorpay transaction/order ID
  • Date of payment
  • Reason for the refund request

7. Right to Refuse

Chitrak Productions reserves the right to refuse a refund request if the service has been delivered as per the agreed scope, if the Client has failed to utilise the included revision rounds, or if the refund request is made beyond a reasonable timeframe after the relevant milestone.
